Do keep in touch, I would need your new snail mail addy...but if you go to the coast, try to stay as "high" as possible and away from David, Cmdn....Davison-Ardvision (sp?) Fault line that goes across the USA from Seattle if at all possible...I don't remember if that ended in North Carolina or South Carolina right now. Easier to check out before you move there, then after your settled in somewhat.
Yes, weren't those "cabins" rather unique though...David told me one time he thought the least expensive way to build these days would be filling in the front of an "Pole barn"...an 25 by 25 foot one, mostly built would be only about $8,000 if that. You'd have to fill in the front with an patio door and around it, but add the fireplace and there shouldn't be to much filling in needed. Attach an garage beside it an sa an extra room (bedroom) and you got yourself an house...better yet buy it..as they talked about...$500 for an old one room cabin. All in the manner of having an house raisin' amoung freinds and kin I suppose. You can get Pole barns bigger also, but they get pricey as they get bigger also.
