Very Happy Hi Everybody! Well it looks like we are meeting here again for a little while. Nice to see everybody! And again, thanks SoCal for keeping this as an alternative for earthboppin (and as an primary for some).

Hi sherry...yep, did Bopp give "any" warning? I was surprised he didn't give a notice or maybe I just missed it. Oh, well, I hope he has some nice down time. I imagine running the board can be a big headache...for sure! geek

I love the format of this board much better but it's been slow over here.

Maybe we can all have a smilie war while EB is down... tongue

    Take care...

Hi SoCal, Sherry, Grits and everyone ... am already getting withdrawls ~ lol~

Hope Bop was taking a brief, much needed rest, but his timing is interesting. Dramas today in SF [tragic]and all that hoo ha now about the burning of the Quaran tomorrow 9/11. Let us ask for good energy for a peaceful weekend!

Keeping this short as having cat probs at home and recovering from severe bronchitis.

    Namaste, Trish

Interesting timing, most definitely. At least we still have this place to gather in our times of need! Hope you are resting and on the road to a speedy recovery Trish!

me too Trish, and I was supposed to get a "life" for a few days while the forum is down Razz

Hope you get all better very soon. Enzymatic Therapy makes a cough syrup called "Bronchial Sooth, Ivy Leaf Syrup" which really works to clear up bronchitis.
My sis used it last winter when she had a terrible case of bronchitis, said it was the only thing that helped, even with antibiotics, etc. Here's a link for info and most HFStores carry it.

You know what I think is funny. There are some of us that refuse to post over there and some over there who don't post over here. I noticed that a lot of people just won't post here.

I think this is the first year since 9/11/2001 where we haven't commiserated at Bopps or on the old boards. Glad he got hisself a vacation though, think runnin EB would have driven most of us to insanity already... WORD!

Thanks SoCal for the backup here, this is up on my links bar and says "boppin along" in green lol.

    Hey Smile

    Hope you're feeling better Trish.

This forum is nice, I just find it cumbersome to post on because of the site format.

Be that as it may, I'm glad it's here so I can keep up with goings on.

Thanks Kate, Sheila and Red for your kind words, and thanks Sheila for the link to that cough syrup. I will definitely ordered it, as doc. gave me that killer cough syrup with codeine. I can only take it at night because it knocks me sideways, even then I wake up groggy.

Since my diabetic cat died at the end of May, my other cat has got gradually more depressed, especially since he is alone all day during the week when I am at work [I leave the radio on]. So I went to the shelter at the end of August and found this adorable 2 year old long haired grey moggy, rather like my present one [cept he is now 14]. I did everything by the book trying to associate them slowly [wont bore you with all that], but Muffin [resident cat] was tense and angry the whole time. Finally Friday night a week ago Muff got really sick twice and then was moving around in slow motion as though he had a stroke. It was too late at night to take him to the vet, and I was sick anyhow.

Then Sat. am he peed like a racehorse, had massive diarrhea and was trying to drink water and throw up at the same time, so couldnt breathe. Thought I was going to lose him, so raced him to the vet. Blood test showed slightly elevated kidney levels, and his temp was 80, so they wanted to keep him. Suffice to say he had to stay all night and would not eat or drink .. so had to have fluids. I decided the stress on him with the new cat Rolley wasnt worth it. So took Rolley back to the shelter Sun. morn. I felt terribly since had fallen in love with Rolley.

Anyhoos, Sunday after an x-ray, they couldnt find anything specifically wrong with Muffin. I said I would come and get him, since he obviously felt deserted as still not eating or drinking. So after 2 hrs of massive cleaning at home, trying to get rid of the smell of Rolley I picked Muff up. First thing he did at home was to eat, and no more sickness. A very emotional and expensive mistake!

Anyhow, I am trying to find a home for Rolley, as he is still at the shelter. Healthy little guy, nothing wrong with him, and he was neutered at the time I first picked him up. Had him flea washed and all tests done. So if you know anyone who would like him .. I can send photos .. I would be more than happy to go get him again and take him to a good home. Sorry for the lengthy epistle, but I feel like I've failed and hurt two dear cats in the process.

    Trish
