Is there a prediction for a 7.0+ in California before end of month?

Week beginning May 24: Uranus in Aries, Full Moon in Sagittarius, Saturn goes direct

Posted by Lara on May 23, 2010

    Uranus in Aries

The big astrological event this week occurs on Thursday/Friday (depending on your time zone) with the entry of Uranus into the sign of Aries for the first time in 84 years. Uranus is the planet of rebellion and revolution, of surprises, scientific and technological breakthroughs, spiritual/mental illumination, spontaneity and sudden change. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and carries the energy of birth, the new, the magic of beginning, and archetype of the Fool. Combined, these two archetypal principles of Uranus and Aries make for a lightning bolt, a wake-up call, a sudden compulsion to make changes. With the slower-moving planets, we seem to feel their impact before aspects and entries into signs are exact, and the tone of Uranus in Aries is indeed already showing up.

At its best, this influence gives us the courage to make our world anew, helping us break out of limiting perceptions and mental habits. At worst, it has us haring off after get-rich schemes and romantic chimeras, and falling over our own stupidity in the process. The last time Uranus entered Aries, in April 1927, it was soon followed by Jupiter, just like this year. Due to retrogrades, for several months the two planets stayed close together at 0-3 degrees Aries. That summer television was viewed for the very first time by a group of scientists, CBS was born and went on the air with 47 radio stations, and Charles Lindbergh flew solo across the Atlantic. Uranus is a liberator: in 1927 in the UK, women aged 21 and over got the vote.

As I and many other astrologers have written about extensively, this summer sees a number of intense planetary configurations in the early degrees of cardinal signs, all of which feature Uranus at zero degrees of Aries. For much of the summer, Uranus and Jupiter are conjunct while opposing Saturn and squaring Pluto. Every now and then a faster moving planet joins them, creating a peak effect. Last week we had the Venus peak, (and as I had indicated last week, there was indeed a whole lot of news about money: the stock markets plummeted and the Euro gasped for survival.) Peaks to come are June 22-24 Sun, Uranus, Jupiter, and Pluto (with Saturn still in Virgo but very close); June 26-27 Mercury, Uranus, Jupiter, and Pluto, and (Saturn); July 30-Aug 4 Mars, Uranus, Jupiter, Saturn (now at 0 Libra) and Pluto.

It’s a huge good news/bad news scenario, with outcomes unpredictable. Jupiter conjunct Uranus can be fabulous: lucky, inspiring, brilliant. (Curiously Jupiter has just lost its lower belt, all of a sudden, as it is conjuncting Uranus.) Saturn opposite Uranus can feel like a very uncomfortable squeeze, but can also bring rebalancing and breakthroughs. Uranus square Pluto brings the urge for freedom into direct confrontation with the urge to control. Major themes represented by these configurations are in the news already, some showing up as breakthroughs, some as challenges: the oil disaster in the Gulf, civil unrest in Thailand and Greece, new political structures and relationships in the UK.

What can we do to stay sane and keep things together during this time? Let go of what doesn’t work. Clinging to outmoded forms out of habit and fear is even less workable under current influences than usual. Clear out, clean up, move on. The cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) are the most active signs: they are all about doing, changing, creating. So do, work, make. If you sit around too much this year you’ll feel frustrated, irritable and antsy. Action, movement, and courage are the qualities that can help us move most happily and productively through this extraordinary time.

    Full Moon in Sagittarius

Two hours before Uranus enters Aries, we have a Full Moon in Sagittarius, at 7:07 pm Eastern, 4:07 pm Pacific on Thursday, and 12:07 am Friday in the UK, 1:07 am in Western Europe. Sagittarius, like Aries, is a fire sign. This might be one of those insomniac Full Moons for those of us who are moon-sensitive. At its best Sagittarian energy is mentally and spiritually expansive, so if you find yourself awake in the night, try meditating instead of tossing and turning.

    Saturn goes direct

On Sunday May 30, Saturn goes direct at 27:50 Virgo. It moves into Libra on July 22. So this is the last pass of Saturn through those final degrees of Virgo. People born at the tail end of Virgo and Pisces are likely to find themselves working very hard these next two months. And Gemini and Sag too. You’ll need to be both diligent and patient. The turn of Saturn to direct motion allows long-term projects to move forward, especially ones involving building and finance, but it always takes work and attention. We can expect substantial contributing factors to the rumpus in the financial markets to get cleared up while Saturn is moving forward in the last degrees of Virgo, but there will be some sacrificial lambs.

There’s a lot going on this week and the energies are changeable, erratic, and confusing. If your anxiety level is going up, do what you can to stay grounded. Be well and happy!

This pretty well fits my week so far, it began with my grandson doing an totally
surprise move on me, and killing our bird..cried all morning over it until he got sent to school. while he was out I bought another one..and for some reason decided to name it "Aries" of all things..the other one I got to go with it, we named
"neptune" (neppie) and we still have "twitters"..so this rather sad event ends up
with all three kids having thier own bird...they are quiet delighted.
Am I changing?..Yes, my hubby had me send for my birth certificate..and perhaps he's
going to have me collect my social security earlier until he retires and we both
go on to his. So yes, it's an change in an way that I'm not sure I want to take, but I don't at this minute see anyway to help us financially. This will be for very little money, barely enough to cover my monthly heart medications but at least they would not be coming out of our pocket...and insurance does not cover this 100 per cent. I would really like to find some kind of home based money-maker that I could name my own working hours on, but so far have not seen one. Until this fall I'm also
tied to kid watching half an day..but I don't get paid for it...it saves my kids $30 from having to pay Terri..but they haven't had full hours either...he has to go out an apply fo rother jobs to get help in unemployemnt hours otherwise. My birthday in 13th and I'll be 62 years old then. I am very ansty right now, been housebound most this week due to the weather. Two days one sick kid all day, other days half an day the youngest one this week. They also make me nervous somedays as well...so active, I'm noit really "free" to do much. Twice they let out the new birds and I had to hunt them down in the house...put them back in their cages.
I was an bit miffed just an bit ago also...because out of the last nearly month...
while hubby's going to different events, I'm staying home to do the work around
here and it's going on my credit card..which is now maxed out. Tonight he's up at the Flag Plant with the Scouts, everyone went up there in the family, I didn't go seeing they were headed into an yellow/orange red "storm" cell, catching colds for me is dangerous...this weekend he says he will only be gone one whole day, Saturday at the cemetary..but he's was gone Tuesday night and MOnday night for two differnt meetings, same for all last week, he was home one night, and went to the weekend outting, the week before that he was with his visitng sister several times, though I went too, but again gone during the week to troop meetings, the weekend before that it was an basket-ball game with the brother in-law, and scoutcapades with my grandson, whose award ceremoney was last weekend also. In the meantime, I've planted this year's garden, done two birthday's and dinners, bought the groceries, planted the summer flowers out front, took care pretty much of Mother's Day, got new furniture for the front porch for the summer...paint for the fence coming up. Dealt with the pet needs this month...in short I'm doing the main job of "running" an house. I've also read two books out of just plain boredom I think...but I have not really been anywhere or done anything "Pleasurable" myself...I feel like an house servant to others as they live thier lives. We also quite by surprise got about $7,000 worth of stuff stolen from us last Thursday. For that insurance paid us $214.15. Claiming the ATV, and little motorized bike fell under "REcreational Vehicles" and needed thier own insurance, so what we got was after they adjusted for the $400 Christmas bike in depreciation and our $100 deductible. I wonder when all the nonsense is going to stop. I am on the computer because I don't have anyone
to talk to if I weren't, at least right now. They will come home and most likely all go to bed...to be up early tomarrow morning..and all I will have from them being here, are dirty clothes on the floor, and dirty house...patience...yes an "huge" heap of it is what I need right now. I don't need any unpleasant surprises though to tell the truth. I could use some good news for an change.
I've already been through the so called "Oil disaster" of my life for some time and am still trying to recouperate.

I'd talk with the kids parents. Tell them that as long as the grandkids are going to stay, they need to help with the housework as though they were at home and I'd do this in front of the kids too to set the boundary. I'd talk with your hubby and ask that he cut out some of the social activities to assist you around the house. It seems that he's leaving it ALL up to you while he goes out galavanting the country-side doing this and that. It takes two to run a household.
Stress stinks. Chin up. Be strong. Smile

Or, here's an idea...spend that $200 on 6 weeks worth of that $30 daycare??? You'd be helping your kids, AND saving your sanity.

Nine days of school left and "mother" will be here to take care of her own kids. It
might help some, because she's not an "stay at home" type either most the time unless its to lay down and sleep.
