Ring on the sun

I commented the other day at EB that it looked kind of like a spiral. Today it looks like a snake (or dragon?) coiled around the sun from top to bottom. (There's a lot of meaning to that symbolism, but my understanding is that the "coiled serpent" or "dragon" derives from Draco, which coils around the ecliptic pole and spirals through all of the zodiacal signs.)

Fascinating study...

On the other hand, sometimes I wonder if the patterns we see in the Sun and elsewhere are just part of our natural tendency to see patterns everywhere... Similar to seeing "faces" and "animals" in the clouds.

Still see my pentagon, semi flat sides to the ring, five of them. At one time I became interested in sacred geometry, also think it shows up in other solar system events. Remember the polar storm on Saturn? At one point it had a pentagon and on earth a few of those show up in hurricane eyes. Must be some natural physical properties in play and forming a pentagon distributes the energy efficiently.

Possibly some scalar engineering in use by an advanced civilization but who knows. I'd like to hitch on ride on their UFO when it stops by for coffee at Starbucks. All advanced civilization drink coffee otherwise how could they function?

I agree that one can see what they wish to see. Symbolism abounds everywhere and I think C.Jung inferred it was our unique way to chart pathways of the mind. Or accessing thought/emotion centers with imagery. How about those Mandala's?

Yes, I remember seeing photos of that pentagon on Saturn awhile back. Ya know... a pentagon viewed differently can also be a pentagram. Isn't it interesting how a lot of the symbols we use seem to derive from astronomy? "As above, so below..." The forms we see out there repeat themselves here on earth. Ancient skywatchers must have picked up on that ages ago. Funny how much they knew without the aid of telescopes. Yeah right... I think they were a lot more advanced than we give them credit for.
