.......... Empty 3 tornadoes near evening rush hour leave lots of damage

    Hello All,
The tornadoes in Massachusetts were pretty bad indeed. There were 3 of them, and one hit the downtown area of Springfield, MA which is near where I grew up for the first 18 years of life.

Now I'm in Eastern Massachusetts, but one of those persistent ones traveled all the way up to Sturbridge MA-- That's enough to upset anyone familiar with traveling between Boston and NY, because Sturbridge Mass is a major interchange from NY to Boston, and often there are people stuck at the Sturbridge tolls not moving in the jammed traffic.

As I was sitting in traffic listening to the radio, traveling 5 miles an hour 1 town away from Littleton, I heard the radio forecaster say that one of the tornadoes was traveling 40 miles per hour on a line to hit Littleton. That made me very anxious to get out of the traffic jam indeed but it turned out that the tornado took a different path and veered more southward. So, all in all, despite some horrible storms in the area, I was OK, along with many other people, but along the storms' tracks, in about a football field width is a complete disaster. It is as if someone had taken 6 pavement grinder machines with those monster wheels to highway speed side by side and knocked down everything they could, while using a determined vacuum nozzle to pick up the debris and throw it over the resulting area. In fact, one of the workmates had his water well's pump pulled up from the sod near his house.

May God give strength to the souls of the grieving, and may the departed from this violent storm, rest in peace. Amen.
