    Walking with Nelson Mandela

Post  DearWife on Sun 09 Jun 2013, 7:40 am

I remembered this dream I had a couple years ago, when hearing the news about Nelson Mandela:

    October 8, 2010
In a dream I was walking in a neighborhood similar to where one of my childhood friends used to live. But when I looked at the house where she lived there was a gate not only surrounding her home but the other homes as well. When I walked closer I began walking towards one gate which was open and on a dirt road. On this road I saw Nelson Mandela. He was looking over a part of the land and had the youth in his mind. He was concerned for the hearts of the children.

We began walking towards a house. The house had caught fire and as we walking over various places in the house I saw how many things were destroyed. But the things destroyed were like the things that belonged to the youth he had once helped.

I walked outside from another house to another area. He was very apologetic the time I was with him but I told him you don't have to be so apologetic.

From here the scene changed as though I were in Rome or a pagan site in those days. I was at a place where women and men drank blood from a cistern that was upon a pedestal.

And I remembered the words of Jesus, “Then shall they put you to trouble, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my names sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one the other. And many false prophets shall arise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall have the upper hand, the love of many shall abate. But he that endureth to the end, the same shall be safe. And this glad tidings of the kingdom: shall be preached in all the world, for a witness unto all nations: and then shall the end come.” Matthew 24

“Afterward saw I the same man come down from the mountain, and calling unto him another peaceable people: and there came much people unto him: some were glad some were sorry, some of them were bound, so that they were carried and brought forth.” 4 Esdras 13

“Paul stood in the midst of Marce street and said: ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. For as I passed by and beheld the manner how ye worship your gods, I found an altar wherein was written: unto the unknown God. Whom ye then ignorantly worship him show I unto you: God that made the world and all that are in it, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, he dwelleth not in temples made with hands, neither is worshipped with mens hands, as though he needed of any thing, seeing he himself giveth life and breath to all men everywhere, and hath made of one blood all nations of men, for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath assigned before, how long time, and also the ends of their inhabitation, that they should seek God, if they might feel and find him, though he be not far from every one of us. For in him we live, move and have your being, as certain of your own Poets said. For we are also his generation. For as much then as we are the generation of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, silver or stone, graven by craft and imagination of man.” Acts 17

http://www.earthboppin.net/talkshop/theend/messages/36223.html If you go to the URL at the left, you will see that the passing of Nelson Mandela is very significant and seems to foretell a time of troubles in which men forget the tolerance and the importance of learning how to recognize the community of humanity as fellows, rather than rivals. This is not my intuition and I hope that the troubles do not become an insurmountable stack that brings hatred in its wake, but it was taken to be a time marker to presage a troublesome era. Hi beejean. Thank-you for sharing MC's dream.

What came to mind when reading it, is how Jerusalem (where our Lord was crucified) is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt:

"And when they have finished their testimony, the beast that came out of the bottomless pit, shall make war against them and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their bodies shall lie in the streets of the great city, which spiritually is called *Zodom and Eygpt, where our Lord was crucified. And they of the people and kindreds, and tongues, and they of the nations, shall see their bodies three days and an half, and shall not *suffer their bodies to be put in graves. And they that dwell upon the earth, shall rejoice over them and be glad, and shall send gifts one to another for these two Prophets vexed them that dwelt on the earth." Revelation 11

And how our battle is not with flesh and blood but against rule, against power...

"Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the armour of God, that ye may stand steadfast against the crafty assaults of the devil. For We wrestle not against flesh and blood: but against rule, against power, and against worldly rulers of the darkness of this world against spiritual wickedness, for heavenly things." Ephesians 6

I don't know why but this song just came to mind...it is the original rendition of the Battle Hymn of the Republic:

Here is a picture of the storming of Fort Wagner:

Have a blessed evening beejean...and anyone else who may be reading this Smile
