I think she was supposed to represent the frail young women who need extra financial help for their healthcare during these times of hardship, since she is in a family way.
I wouldn't worry about these strange filmed events coming up with debilatated women trying to survive these trying times. The stenographer was speaking out against the mockery of justice achieved by the sell-out Congress, and the frail young woman who fainted was someone who did not consider her own possible reaction (i.e. hypoglycemic state after drawing down reserves by standing for so long in the sun) to the stress of looking put-together for the cameras.
Hope you're doing well, Oregon Guy. Don't worry about those guys behind the curtain. Since we've been having so many snafus -- I can only say that I hope the Olympic flames doesn't get out of hand in the International Space Station after it comes back inside the station after its space walk. There aren't many firemen in outer space.
