    Out of Water

State of California Starts Mandatory water Rationing

I want to express my condolences to all from California reading this right now.

I'm having trouble conceiving of how difficult it must be to have to adjust all living habits that rethink how to wash dishes or clothing or sheets.

And, I'm aware that's not the only thing.

We've had situations in the house when a water main blew a leak and caused us to have to turn all the water off.
It's easier to monitor your use of water when you carry in each gallon, but it's not fun.

I hope you'll let us know if you have some special ways of working your schedule to allow for the changing of this reduction in your water availability.

    Good luck !

Mandatory is still Mandatory in California

When things get narrowed down to rein in your basic basic basic necessities, water, food, shelter, clothing,
then it's time to think about finding a way out of the zone of scarcity.

A week, a year, now two years?

Some California cities with the most acute water shortages have resorted to stiff penalties for heavy water users.

Facing a water crisis last summer, Santa Cruz imposed a strict rationing program. The city issued $1.6 million in water fines in 2014 and gave violators the option to waive their penalties by attending "water school."
