I've gotta say...

... that at EB (although I do view it as a home) I had become very uncomfortable posting any of my Dreams/Visions, thus I had pretty much dropped posting any there...

Now I know it's silly and more than likely just a bit of paranoia floating around in my skull... but, there was just too many (especially of late) Trolls trying to screw with everybody...

And although I was often in the camp against registering for forum use... I like the idea that if that were to start here, it could be dealt with...

Thanks for creating a site where there is a level of comfort... even if it is just in my head...

Well I am glad to see someone else is smitten with these little smileys.

I think on EB you could not tell if someone was joking or just plain being funny. Some posts got taken the wrong way and at least the smileys add a bit of feeling to the post. That little extra bit of a personal touch.

No worries, if there's been anything to come from EB's fall, it's started a re-evaluation of my own behavior... I'll still be grumpy on occasion, I'll still have a sometimes dark, sometimes caustic sense of humor... but there were certainly times when I went above and beyond in responding to a few posters... that won't happen here! Everyone deserves their say... even if they're wrong... (joking!)...

No, there's just some things that need to be left unsaid... some fires that don't need to be stoked... sometimes it's better to refrain from engaging in the Chaos in the first place... (my own and others)...

I was afraid to post over there! It feels better here. I do know that it is the coolest thing to be able to communicate with people all over the place. Take you Rig for instance. Savannah, Georgia. I have never been there. Would love to visit sometime! You probably have some good food there!

There are aspects of Savannah that are really cool, old(ish) architecture, it's fairly nice during the winter (it only gets around freezing for a few weeks scattered throughout the season, during the summer we have some amazing thunderstorms (the most impressive I've ever seen, but then growing up in the PNW we didn't get that much)...

But then the bad side, take the uglier parts of say Tacoma and maybe Lakewood and put them ringing the downtown core of Savannah (Historic district) then pump them up with steroids and you'll have an idea of the frightening level of crime here... then there's the heat during summer, dear Gods it gets hot here (I don't think Scandihoovians were meant for these kind of temps!)... average 90 to 100 degrees with 80 to 100 percent humidity and a "heat index" that adds another 10 to 15 degrees... I spend much of my time fleeing the heat from one air conditioned place to another...

But yes, there's some amazing foods... from the only ok foods of places like Lady and Sons (Savannah is Paula Deens home base), to some out of the way if you sneezed you'd drive right by them restaurants that are just amazing!

Daughter and son-in-law waited in line for hours to eat at Paula's restaurant. They said it was worth it!

"Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" was a very cool movie set in Savannah and captured both the good and bad sides of the southern culture in my eyes.

I'll get over that way one day. It's really not that far from me...

Hi Grits, Ruby is on now. It was on hiatis. It is on Sundays on Style. I love Paula Deen also. Thats why I told Rig I'll bet the food there is terrific.

Ya me and my mom love to watch it too. My mom says that her whiny voice bugs her. She sure is trying hard though to lose the weight. Do you really think that the boyfriend really loves her? Its hard to tell. Anyways yah the swim suit thing is kinda scary.
