    Mr. Bopp posted one yesterday from the back side of the sun and that one was nasty and I was saying, "Thank God it wasn't facing Earth". Guess I should have knocked on wood. This is not good. It could trigger more quake/volcanic action, make people sick (and crabby) and mess up electronics/grids. The real scary part - we just started this 11 year cycle. Thanks Sherry !!!

    Sorry, I just don't see anything on the back side to show an explosion. I went to STEREO and found you are correct it is FAR side.

    SOLAR ERUPTIONS: The far side of the sun is alive with activity. On Feb. 28th, NASA's twin STEREO spacecraft observed one and perhaps two clouds of material blasting away from a high-latitude, site not visible from Earth. The Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) recorded a movie of the clouds billowing over the sun's northern limb. So far, none of this activity appears to be Earth-directed.
