I've been on a mission to drop weight and get back to my healthy self since the end of last year.

I haven't been to the gym in over a month, but I have been consciously eating better and limiting the fast food I eat, meaning that sometimes that all I can afford, but I now will get a side salad with fat free dressing and a baked potato or hamburger with no mayo and no cheese.

So, after hearing from several people this week that haven't seen me in a while, that I've lost a lot of weight and that they almost didn't recognize me, I got on the scale.

I have proudly gone from 212 to 185 since the end of December Smile I feel very accomplished and just elated at the moment!

Tonight, spaghetti with turkey sausage and salad for dinner with a small piece of garlic bread. One thing I've learned is you can't deprive yourself of the things you love to eat, you just eat less of it and not all the time. If it's something I know is really bad for me and I want it, I'll just eat a couple of bites and then snack on something much healthier to fill me up.

I hear ya there! Weight loss is one of the toughest things to accomplish and if you're like me, I can put weight on just by looking at something bad for me! You can do it to get over those 2lbs Smile Plateaus are the worst, you have to work harder to get over it, which is no fun of course: ) You can do it!

    Congratulations socalshakin!

That's a great accomplishment. I've been trying to loose weight too but also loose and then gain some back. You give me courage to go try harder. Thanks for that!

Congratulations on the success of your weight loss efforts!!! Feeling the success will help you feel more in control of your own life, too. I hope that all else is OK in your world, I just went to light a prayer candle and when I posted the prayer, I got severe chills. Not usually a good sign, so I'm going to pray for you some more. Blessings, Jean Question

Hi Jean Smile I think everything else seems OK. A mountain of bills still, but Im finding ways to get through them. Otherwise, things with him and I are OK at the moment. We're working together as a team to solve problems, which is a plus since before I felt that I was the one to have to figure it all out. I think he sees I can't handle it and should never have to handle everything, so perhaps he is catching on. I feel at peeace at the moment in decisions I have made, so I'm hoping that it's not me subconsciously trying to push things off, but that they are in fact getting better.

Thank you for your prayers Smile
