Tuesday August 24 - 31, 2010 Full Moon
At the Florida workshop in May we discussed the natal chart of Florida and that transiting Neptune would be conjoining the natal Mercury. The aspect would produce nebulous winds, winds that wander and can't seem to find a good direction. However, another way to look at it is that tropical winds may be blowing. Natal Mercury has rulership on the natal Gemini ascendant and the 5th house of tourism.
This is the week that Neptune is on the 4th house cusp. The very wet Moon in Pisces is also in the 4th house. There is no doubt that water is an important part of this week's weather. An unsettled atmosphere is aiding to the heavy rain event. The wind chart has strong aspects for a horrific wind. Miami, the Bahamas and Cuba are all under an alert for a tropical storm or hurricane.
Wednesday September 1 - 7, 2010 Quarter Moon
Neptune, most often the planet that indicates moisture and during hurricane season is present through the center of the Gulf. The wettest indicator is the Moon and she has positioned herself in a 90 degree angle to the 4th house cusp of the lunar phase chart. The square aspect is harsh and produces abnormal conditions. Mercury, the carrier of the winds is found alongside the Sun at Miami/Bahamas. Venus, the second wettest indicator applies to a 120 degrees aspect, a trine, to Neptune. The high pressure indicators, Uranus and Jupiter are found further into the 4th house and would provide high pressure. Saturn - the low pressure indicator is sextile to the horizon, a weaker position.
A hurricane will be churned up and the wind damage will be severe. Because the low pressure system is not very strong, the high pressure will hopefully block some of the action.
Wednesday September 8 - 14, 2010 New Moon - Perigee SuperMoon Sept 8
Sagittarius is the sign on the 4th cusp for this new Moon and would normally bring fine weather and there will be pleasant weather during the period.
The winds will be extremely strong this period in the Miami and general Florida area. Mercury, the windy planet is not moving as it is about to station to go direct. The Sun and Moon are in the first house in the blustery sign of Virgo and the Moon is applying to join Saturn. To add more wind to the area, Mercury is in square aspect to the 4th house cusp - location - Miami. All the ingredients are in place for a tropical storm to brew into a hurricane force with the strong wind activity.
Wednesday, September 15 - 22, 2010 quarter Moon
The high pressure planets, Uranus and Jupiter, are covering Florida, Saturn; low pressure is seen at the Bahamas through Cuba and the islands. Very hot weather, possibly brutal, centers at the Gulf. The Moon is applying to Pluto and whacks a square to the Jupiter Uranus combination stressing the winds from blustery to gale force. The Low pressure Saturn is very close to Florida and brings its energy up the coast to the Carolinas. Many times, the storms from the southern regions can carry up through the coast.
As always, be prepared; know what is happening during this remarkable season. Remember, when the TV mets can see it on radar, they will give you good positioning.
Best wishes everyone and thank you South Atlantic Chapter NCGR at Florida.
