Fukushima Planning: Dump Radioactive H20 instead of Leak it

Link to ENE News-Officials want to Dump contaminated Water instead of letting it Leak

     Question

In an admission of defeat to a problem which experts recognized as unsolvable at it's inception - the scientific minds have decided that they must dump the Fukushima contaminated water into the ocean.

ENE News ; August 8 2014 Quotes Excerpted from Video wrote:Yomiuri Shimbun, Aug 7, 2014: Groundwater to be pumped up from some of the subdrain pits includes high levels of tritium, a radioactive substance that cannot be removed [...] However, TEPCO believes it is possible to [...] meet standards if the water is mixed in tanks with water pumped from other subdrain pits.

Kyodo, Aug 7, 2014: Tepco to collect toxic groundwater at Fukushima, dump in ocean after treatment [...] it is unclear whether [the plan] will work as smoothly as expected, one of the officials admitted. [...] Radioactive substances such as tritium and cesium have been detected [but] TEPCO says it aims to clean the water to a level that would do no harm to the environment, but tritium will remain untreated [...]

Since running out of space in water holding tanks, the anything goes solution has now become the go-to plan for the disaster at Fukushima.

I wonder if it will take about a year for that contaminated water to get to the west coast   Then I might have to think about moving from the Portland area.

    :sunny:Hello John L. -

I haven't posted for a while since the violent disaster threats cropped up from the you-tube clips from the Middle Eastern men who have not been shy about showing their hate for the rest of humans.

Even the sunshine seems like a threat these days, John.  Too much, and a drought wears down the plants and the population.  Too little and, before we know it, mudslides roar down the hillsides.  When it rains - time to cover up.  Who can imagine what radioactive particles have found their way into the rainclouds.

I have been stunned on the issue of where is the best place to go when the conditions deteriorate seriously.  Here in my area, there is a real threat from the winter weather and this winter is predicted to be a harsh one.  In your area, the chefs bring Geiger counters to the fish markets.  I suppose that should be an investment for you, if you can put together the money.

I would be building an artificial rumor of worsening conditions with us ... but just enduring the endless hate-filled diatribes that we've put up with for the past 15 years from the various threatening groups is enough to bring a strong cautionary thought that -4communities throughout history have been displaced.  Here is what the Lord mentions about cities falling in the midst of battles for control:

    2 Samuel 12: 29-31

So David went to Rabbah and fought against it and took it.  And he took the crown of their king from his head; the weight of it was a talent of gold, and in it was a precious  stone, and it was placed on David's head.  And he brought forth the people who were in it, and set them to labor with saws, iron picks and iron axes, and made them toil at the brick kilns; and thus he did to all the cities of the Ammonites.

As you see above, we are facing a continuous stream of change that leaves us with the understanding that we need to bring the sanity to this mess. With the people that are facing down these threats, we must pray for the ones who have the strengths to help the population do positive things. Take care -- and remember that little things can be very important to the people around you, John L. Have a good week.
