Well, I avoided a near awful car accident tonight.

I was driving on the 101 and in the right hand lane since my exit was a couple exits up. I had a big SUV come up really fast on my rear, and was pretty much tailgating me........very close. There was too much traffic for me to get over to let his selfish, speeding, stupid ass by me.

Then I see an 18 wheeler merging on the freeway very close ahead. The car in front of me guns it and gets in front of him. I think for a second on what to do and decide that I'm not going to make it in front of the 18 wheeler without him pushing me into the middle lane and hitting who knows how many cars. So, I had to brake really fast. I had to make the decision to either be trampled by an 18 wheeler or rear ended by an SUV. I chose the possibility if being rear ended.

I thought the guy in back of me was going to slam into me at 65+mph, because I heard him break hard and see his back end spin out a bit and he swerved over to the middle lane. Luckily no one was in it and no one was in back of him.

I must have had some angles with me tonight or it just wasn't my time. Either way, I had a terrible, stressful day before that and I thought I just might have a heart attack when this happened. I was nearly killed in a car accident as a passenger when I was 17, so I have anxiety enough as it is when I drive, but I am a good, cautious driver that doesn't do stupid crap, like tailgating people.

Needless to say, I am very thankful at the moment. I'm glad God didn't want me to check out in something that I fear the most in life. (besides spiders that is)

Ugh, sorry to hear that. I lived down there for 4 years and there is nothing I would rather NOT do than drive on LA freeways. I'm cool as a cucumber on the twisty mountain and coastal roads up here, but put me on the 405 during rush hour and I'm white-knucklin'.

Wow, you sure had a day today. Glad your Angels were with you! Now days we have to drive like there are a lot of nuts on the road - and there are. Hope you are feeling better too.

    Hi Kate,

I'm glad you are safe! Your angels were definitely with you. Years ago I was driving in the valley and I came to a blind intersection where I had a green light. I was going to turn right but I stopped instead and I was glad I did because even though it had been green for a while someone flew through the other side which was red. I would have been wiped out. At the time, I was amazed and felt like an angel had warned me. Today, I feel it's the same 11:11 angels who tell me to look at the prompts.

That is why I never backtrack if I am driving and go a longer way, knowing that the short way will save me time and gas. I figure that I am being made to go this way for a purpose. Whether it is to avoid an accident or something else. I never question it I just go the way I am going. Oh I may think to myself "why the hell did I do this" but that doesn't last too long.

I spoke with her after he experience and she was pretty wired. I am certainly thankful and glad that things turned out the way they did for sure. Remember "Never drive faster than you guardian angel can fly" Very Happy

Thankful you are safe. Yeah, that 101. Too many years spent there having to be a road warrior myself. I do not miss it!

    Hi Socalshakin-
Wow! Glad your angels and guardian spirits were there today, and glad you are safe. Seems traffic and drivers are getting worse and worse. Down here in this little desert town the drivers are just crazy- everyone seems distracted and completely spaced out. They act like there is no one else on the road but them! We had to go into town twice this week and it was just nuts- an assortment of old snowbirds in huge rv's, farm trucks, ranchers hauling stock trailers, 18 wheelers coming off the interstate, and families coming up from Mexico to go shopping because it is safer up here. We were glad to get home and get back to working on the spring garden. There was a sale on spring onion sets and purple cabbage starts so it was worth the trip. All of you take care and stay safe.
    Blessings- Paula.

Thank you all Smile It was a pretty scary experience and not one I hope I have to deal with again. Damn the So Cal freeways and crazy, crappy drivers out here.. they think they are invincible, I swear.

Braved the freeway once again today after having to work on my day off. Finally making some dinner and gonna head to bed.
